Have more options to breed horses in shorter periods of time! :)

No need to lose 2 of your horses to get a new one. Now you can breed your horses with your cooperative friendsí horses!

Horse Meadow Walkthrough UPDATED 5/6/2019
For this walkthrough I will be using my horse, Golden child.
Golden child is level 110, Fourth breading quality with +78 Show jumping Breeding effects. I'll be using the Horse meadow to increase her Dressage and Racing.
1
step one
xx
First you will need 1 horse with at least 1 breeding effect, example shown on the right.
OPTION 1 Buy a horse from the Stable and train on all 3 skills until level 13.
OPTION 2 Buy a horse from the Shop and train on all 3 skills as far as you can before intensive training, only once.
OPTION 3 Send a horse that you have in your stable already :)
NOTE: When breeding in the Horse meadow, any partial levels will be carried over to the offspring. Unlike breeding in the Horse stable where they will not carried over.
Very helpful for people like me who just want to improve their main racing horse. Get some extra effects here, go train a few times on the ranch then rinse and repeat.
2
step two
xx
Move your horse to the Horse stable.
Click on the Horse meadow then select Horse stable.
First check the numbers in the top left corner to make sure you may send your choice of horse to the meadow.
The numbers will vary accordingly to the horse meadow's level. Image shows a level 5 meadow
Max breading value (horse level) you can have on the horse meadow.
Max breeding quality level you can have on the horse meadow.
Max number of horses your cooperative can send to the meadow.
Necessary number of horses in the meadow to get an outcome of 100% gene points.
Current maximum outcome of gene points. Depends on number of horses in the meadow.
Once you have verified that you may send your choice of horse to the meadow it's time to select your horse.
From the Stable window select the horse you want to send to the stable as shown here on the left.
Once you click on the green arrow you will get a Confirmation pop-up where you must click Yes to confirm this is the horse you want to send.
Once you click on Yes your horse will be moved to the Horse meadow.
Your horse will stay in the meadow for 7 days or until you breed it, which ever comes first.
You have to take good care of your horse and keep it happy. The happier your horse is, the more attractive it will be to the other horses around in the meadow.
If you fail to take care of your horse, a countdown timer will start after a week and if nothing changes, the horse will return to your stables.
3
step 3
Now it's time to care for your horse in the Meadow.
Here you must charge up your horse's Love meter to attract a suitable partner for breeding, lol

For now we will only concentrate on the Activity items, shown here on the right.
The activities are what charge the Love meter, shown below and it must be full to breed.

You can choose between 10 different activities.
There are 3 types of activity: Feeding, Cleaning and Entertaining. see Training Produce

Each one of them can last for different periods of time (short, medium and long) and each one of them charges the love meter at different rates. For example, during the daytime, some activities give better results, whereas others are stronger during nighttime, and others even during meal times. see Clock

Once you click on an activity a timer will be started.
You can check remaining time on activities when you click on the Activity history tab.

Every time your horse performs an activity the talent wheel, shown on the left will turn once clockwise to select Attributes and Breeding Effects.
You can mouse over to read the attributes and breeding effects.

Before you start with your activities you can mouse over your horse to see his/her stats, shown lower right. Jot them down for a comparison later.

If you choose the same activity several times in a row the talent wheel will still turn once each time, but its effect will be reduced.

I'm taking ninjahuman's Horse treats advice for this walkthrough. It's some good advice to help you end up on the attributes or breeding effects that you are looking for. Thank you for sharing ninjahuman

This has been my strategy for getting better horses for a long time. I understand there are other strategies out there that may work
This is what I've been doing for over a year and I have at this point 1 great all around horse, Gen 18m (meadow :-), lvl 106, lvl 4 breeding, 10 boxes of attributes starting at +6 to +23 inside. I carry on with a rotation of horses. I usually have 1 horse training, 1 in the meadow, 1 waiting to breed.. and my main mane of course :)
On breeding screen there are 3 partners on the right. Click them to see how they match. What I look for is the largest # of genes (on the left) with at least 100 genes,, more is better,, and the largest amt of possible additional attributes (on lower right) ,,the 2X listed with attributes. If none of the horses look good I will buy another set of partners on top right using village dollars and hope for better partners. One other option at this point is not to breed and just start the happiness rotation again to get more 'genes'. I will do this especially if I don't need it right away.

I try to follow this pattern of activities that will help you train them for successful breeding. Training a horse with only sugar
cubes for example, the time to fill your love meter getting ready to breed will result in a failure breed. This is just an example a sugared up horse will not breed also an overworked horse will do the same like all activities or all caring activities. There has to be a balance also in breeding is what I am saying. I posted before a quick method for those who do not want to leave there horses in the meadow. I may buy several horses with the village dollars to view to what I want to gain from the attributes or breeding effects then. I do look where my arrows are in the circle to match best what I want to add to my horse I have trained. I check for that info given in the lower right hand corner where you see this information on the horse you are viewing. I determine then which horse has what I want for my horse.
JustMe (US1) says: Using gold to finish activities gives you less points on the meter than if you let it run.
44
step 4
xx
Breed your horse with another horse in the meadow.
Once you get to the Gene distribution, youíre presented with 3 different horses, shown on the right.
If you cannot get a good amount of gene points from those three horses then you can pay some village dollars to get another three horses or pay gold to ask Rose McLundy for a wild horse.
While looking for a partner it's important to match the horses Levels, Attributes and Breeding effects as best you can.
If both horses have the same breeding effect, the new horse can get up to 100 gene points of that effect.
If one of the horses has a specific breeding effect, the new horse can get up to 50 gene points.
To increase the chance of getting better attributes & breeding effects, you unlock them with the love meter above.
For each activity, you can unlock a new attribute or breeding effect, independent from your partnerís horse.
Each new unlocked attribute circle gets you extra gene points on a random attribute or breeding effect.
Once you choose a partner put all your gene points in the order of priority for the attributes or effects that you would like to collect by using the scroll bars. 100% on one bar should get you a +1 for that Breeding effect.
watch this Gene distribution video for more information
Once you breed your horse youíll get a new horse (your previous horse will be set free into the wild but your coop friendís horse will stay in the meadow).
The new horse will automatically go to your stables.
The breeding process can also fail. If you choose to try again, your love meter will go down a little as a consequence.
If you decide to send a horse you just got from the meadow back to it, the next horse you get will demand extra time for all maintenance activities.  Make sure you send your new horse back the the ranch for training first.
As you can see my breeding was a success!
The window is darkened in the background but you can still make it out.
The Gene distribution area shows that I had 101 gene points to work with.

and you'll see that it is important to set up your arrows while doing your activities. Notice that the only attributes & breeding effects I get to put gene points are those that I ended up with after activity training, within
RED circles.
Even though the partner I selected was not close to Golden child's level, he did have +2 in the dressage effect that I was looking for. He also had +4 in the agility attribute that I also wanted, within YELLOW circles..
In the end I Golden child's offspring ended up with a +1 dressage, within a GREEN circle.
I hoped to get more training points out of horseshoes after this, but sadly it didn't seem to work that way. Same sliver of points for 4,000 horseshoes.
bdj (US1) advice: After a successful breed you'll want to train your new foal in strength 3 times, endurance 3 times & agility 3 times on the Horse ranch and do not go into Intensive training.  Be sure to do this before you send the new foal back to the Horse meadow for more activities.
