then click on Manage boats
From this window you can...
Buy new boats
Upgrade, demolish or equip an old boat
NOTE: You can also load your boats right from the fishing area, just click on any of the pools.

Manage boats

You can only manage your boats while they are at the dock.
You cannot buy boats while your Dockyard is upgrading.
Always load the correct equipment and crew on your boat.
When you load the incorrect equipment it will reduce their efficiency in half.

You may have up to 14 boats in your fleet at one time.
As you upgrade your Dockyard demolish starter boats to replace them with better ones.
Don't bother upgrading starter boats.

Some advice:
Keep 14 level 1 motorboats until your dockyard is fully upgraded.
Keep sending them out with 2 Roy, 1 Walter and 1 Large Freezer each, you'll catch 18 fish with each boat.
If you send them out with crew meant for motorboats you'll catch 10 fish with each boat. Why not make money while you're spending it.
Once your Dockyard is level 8 slowly replace your motorboats with skipjacks and trawlers. You can leave them all at level 1 for now because they will still bring in good money with the right equipment.

Consider the reasons for having each of these boats like this:
1x Motorboat lvl 1 = For continuous build and demolish to get Fish EXP (2,000 FXP in 4.5 min)
(1 to 3) x Runabout = Short Fishing time/Fast speed/Small cargo/Pool cleaners/Flexibility
(4 to 8) x Skipjack = Medium Fishing time/ Medium speed / Medium cargo / Flexibility
(4 to 8) x Trawler = Long Fishing time / Slow speed/ High Cargo / Flexibility
